Evidence Based EFT training for Practitioners
-
This training teaches Clinical Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) as researched by Dr Peta Stapleton. It is taught in a way that is grounded in research, clinically applicable, and integrated with a somatic understanding of how change actually occurs.
EFT is often taught as a technique. In this training, it is taught as part of a larger process.
-
This training is suited to:
therapists, psychologists, and counsellors
coaches and practitioners
health professionals and support workers
anyone wanting a structured, evidence-based approach to working with emotional distress
-
how EFT works from a nervous system and research perspective
how to use tapping safely and effectively with clients
how to work with trauma, anxiety, and emotional intensity
how to integrate EFT with other therapeutic approaches
how to move beyond scripts into responsive, client-led work
-
I teach EFT as a relational and process-oriented method, not just a protocol.
You will learn the structure, but also how to think, respond, and adapt in real time.
The emphasis is on:
clinical safety
responsiveness
depth of work
real-world application
-
Training is online and supported by training assistants.
I have chosen a unique structure to minimise “Zoom Fatigue” and maximise learning.
Trainings ae generally held 9am-4:30pm on a Friday and 9am-1:30pm on a Saturday over two consecutive weeks.
This has gotten good feedback from participants over the usual 3 day Friday-to-Sunday model.
Evidence Based EFT for Trauma
-
This two-day training focuses on how to work with trauma using Evidence-Based EFT in a way that is safe, structured, and clinically grounded.
It is designed for practitioners who already have a foundation in EFT and want to deepen their ability to work with more complex presentations, including trauma, overwhelm, and nervous system dysregulation.
Many practitioners learn EFT as a technique, but feel less certain when working with trauma.
Questions tend to arise around:
how to work safely when intensity increases
how to recognise and respond to overwhelm or shutdown
how to avoid pushing too quickly or working too directly
how to adapt EFT when standard approaches are not enough
This training is designed to address those gaps.
-
To attend the training, you must have attended the practitioner training with a minimum gap of 3 months unless you have made prior arrangements with Dr Peta Stapleton.
-
Across the two days, we will cover:
how trauma presents in the body and nervous system
how to pace EFT work appropriately with trauma
how to recognise signs of overwhelm, dissociation, and shutdown
how to regulate activation without suppressing process
how to work with specific memories without re-traumatisation
how to use EFT alongside a process-oriented, client-led approach
how to adapt your work when clients cannot access words or clear narratives
-
This training is grounded in research-informed EFT, but taught within a broader somatic and relational framework.
The emphasis is not only on what to do, but on:
how to think clinically
how to track what is happening in real time
how to respond to the person in front of you, rather than applying a fixed protocol
You will learn structure, but also how to work with flexibility, precision, and care.
-
Training is held over 2 days online.
